Rita Rosa Ruesga

Graduada como directora de coros y educadora de música en La Escuela Nacional de Artes de La Habana. Cuba, con postgrados  en el Miami Dade College. Durante mas de 20 años he estado dedicada a la educación de música a niños bilingues y a la investigación, asi como a la composisión musical y a la literatura.

He podido impactar con mi música a cerca de 10000 niños de muchos países en Cuba, México, Bolivia, Alemania, Suecia, Puerto Rico y USA. He tenido la gran experiencia de grabar y actuar como vocalista de grandiosos artistas tales como Celia Cruz y Ricky Martin entre muchos otros. 

4 nominaciones a los premios Grammy Latino por mis discos infantiles, más un Primer premio y mención honorable en el INTERNATIONAL LATINO BOOKS AWARDS, Un Premio Cubadiscos Internacional, son algunos altos galardones logrados a lo largo de mi carrera.


La casa editorial  SCHOLASTIC ha publicado 3 de mis libros. Dirijo el coro WEST MIAMI CHILDREN’S CHOIR y soy productora de la agrupación LOS GRANDES AMIGOS ; con ellos hacemos diversos trabajos para Univisión boradcasting y otras instituciones. Mi música está cargada de ritmos afro caribeños y contiene un mensaje genuino y educacional.

About Rita Rosa Ruesga:

I was born in Cuba and I hold a degree in Choral conducting from Escuela Nacional de Artes de La Habana. When I arrived in the USA, I registered some courses related to education at Miami Dade College. I have been dedicated to investigation, education musical composition and literacy for children. With my music and books, I have impacted  around 10000 children from Cuba, Mexico, Bolivia, Germany, Sweden, Puerto Rico and USA.  During my career, I have had the great experience of  doing voiceover and vocal backups for many artists, such as Celia Cruz, Ricky Martin among others. I have been working for Univision broadcasting for many years, having the opportunity to get close to many  artists and producers. At the same time, I have worked every day as an educator in private schools and conservatories. 

As a recording artist, I hold 4 Latin Grammy nominations and the Cubadiscos International Award for my albums with folk Hispanic songs and original songs.

As an author, I have published 3 books with Scholastic INC. Two of them are songbooks while one is an original story-song illustrated. My awards for publishing works are One honorable mention and one First place award at the International Latino Book Awards. I am the conductor of the West Miami Children's Choir and a producer for Los Grandes Amigos project.

Nowadays,  I have been writing and producing content  focused on bilingual children. My music has a genuine message full of Afro-Caribbean's rhythm. 

 *Los Grandes Amigos have made several appearances at Univision news, Despierta America tv show  El Gordo y la Flaca, as well as cartoons for Los Grandes amigos' youtube channel.
